Meet Our Board
Justin Harris is the Lead Pastor of Lighthouse Assembly of God in Bowie, Texas. He has served his church and community with his wife Kara and sons, Riley, Ty, and Zack for 14 years.
Justin understands and as a heart for the many children Rising Sons Boys Ranch seeks to serve. As a baby, he was adopted into the home of Lonnie and Carolyn Harris, where he was raised in an environment that taught him the value and meaning of family.
Justin has served throughout his life reaching out to those who have been abandoned, neglected, and rejected by society. He and Kara served as house parents at the Presbyterian Children's home where he dealt firsthand with children with various kinds of trauma. Justin and Kara have invested their lives and continue to invest their lives in helping people.
Justin and Kara both have a heart to see children in foster care placed in loving and stable home and are fully invested and committed to the mission of Rising Sons Boys Ranch.
Steve Waddell is 53 years old and has been married to his wife, Cindy for 27 years. He and Cindy have 4 adult children and are blessed with 6 grandchildren.
Steve and Cindy are members of The River Assembly of God in Burkburnett, where they serve as committed volunteers in numerous ministries. Steve is a graduate of Rockwall High School in Rockwall, Texas. He owns and operates Aero Maintenance in Wichita Falls as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician.
He enjoys fishing, hunting, and collecting antiques and porcelain signs. As a board member of Rising Sons Boys Ranch, Steve is committed to seeing boys placed in a forever home and working through his many connections to see this vision funded.
Richard Smith is a local North Texas businessman with a passion for helping less fortunate children.
Richard's life is a direct result of the love that was poured into him from his adoptive parents. He and his wife Deanna now foster children in effort to give back and make a difference.
